At Kingshurst, all of our coaches and committee members are volunteers, and each and every one of us has spent time getting qualified to be a coach.

Part of the qualification is safeguarding. Safeguarding isn’t just getting a DBS; it is also a course we have to complete that also helps us understand your children and their different walks of life and how to deal with minor issues and more serious issues.

The FA has now adapted this and extended the course to parents so they can have a clearer understanding and also possibly spot signs where additional support may be needed or even how we as spectators should conduct ourselves.

The course is FREE and is a great tool to learn from. We have had some great feedback from some parents who have already completed it.

We would like all of our parents to complete this. It can be done in your own time and in segments on different days of your choice.
